NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 23rd February, 2017
S.O. 616(E).—Whereas in pursuance of clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Indian
Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 (48 of 1970) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), members for
Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani systems of medicine from the State in which the State Register of Indian
Medicine is maintained, have been elected from amongst themselves by persons enrolled on that Register as
practitioners of Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the said Act, the
Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of
India, in the erstwhile Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Health number S.O. 3259, dated
the 21st August,1971, namely:—
In the said notification, in the table, under the heading “Elected under clause (a) of sub-section (1) of
section 3,” against the State of Tamil Nadu, for serial numbers 1 and 4 and the entries relating thereto, the
following shall respectively be substituted, namely:—
