NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 8th June, 2016
S.O. 2058(E).—Whereas, it appears to the Central Government that coal is likely to be obtained from
the land described in the Schedule annexed hereto;
And, whereas, the plan bearing number NUPPL/PS/001/2015, dated the 12th November, 2015
containing details of the areas of land covered by this notification and described in the said Schedule may be
inspected at the office of the General Manager (Geology/Incharge Pachwara South Coal Block), Neyveli Uttar
Pradesh Power Limited, Malti Enclave, Near Zilla School, Old Electric Office Road, Dumka, Jharkhand or at
the office of the Coal Controller, 1, Council House Street, Kolkata- 700 001 at the office of the Deputy
Commissioner, District Dumka(Jharkhand);
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Coal
Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development), Act, 1957 (20 of 1957), (hereinafter referred to as the said
Act), the Central Government hereby gives notice of its intention to prospect for coal from the land described
in the said Schedule.
Any person interested in the land described in the above mentioned Schedule may--
(i) claim compensation under section 6 of the said Act for any damage caused or likely to be caused
by any action taken under sub-section (3) of section 4 thereof ; or
(ii) claim compensation under sub-section (1) of section 13 of the said Act in respect of prospecting
licence ceasing to have effect or under sub-section (4) of section 13 of the said Act for mining
lease ceasing to have effect and deliver all maps, charts and other documents relating to the land
to show the expenditure incurred in respect of items specified in clauses (i) to (iv) of sub-section
(1) of section 13 of the said Act,
to the office of the General Manager (Geology/Incharge Pachwara South Coal Block), Neyveli Uttar Pradesh
Power Limited, Malti Enclave, Near Zilla School, Old Electric Office Road, Dumka, Jharkhand within a
period of ninety days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.

A-B The line A-B starts from point ‘A’ in Mahuldabar village (No. 18) and ends at point ‘B’ in
Mahuldabar village (No.18). The line A-B forms the western boundary of the block.
B-C The line B-C starts from point ‘B’ in Mahuldabar village(No. 18) and ends at point ‘C’ in
Mahuldabar village (No.18). The line B-C forms the western boundary of the block.
C-D The line C-D starts from point ‘C’ in Mahuldabar village(No. 18) and ends at Chirudih village
(No.20). The line C-D forms the northern boundary of the block running parralled to Bansoli nadi
southern bank.
