Delhi, the 30th March, 2017
No. SEC/LAW/E./F.179/2012/8997.—WHEREAS Ms. Babli Giri, resident of R.Z-93B, GALI No.-10
TUGLAKABAD VISTAAR, NEW DELHI-110019, who contested election from Ward No. 185 of South Delhi
Municipal Corporation, held on 15.04.2012, was disqualified under the provisions of Rule 110 of the Delhi Municipal
Corporation (Election of Councillors) Rules, 2012, for a period of 6 years vide this Commission’s order of even number
dated the, 01-08-2013 on account of her failure to file the return of election expenses in the prescribed form, manner and
within the stipulated time.
AND WHEREAS the said Babli Giri, had neither submitted her account of election expenses nor replied to
“show Cause Notice” issued by the Commission.
AND WHEREAS the said Ms. Babli Giri submitted her account of election expenses and the Affidavit in the
prescribed form on 20.02.2017 and made a request to the State Election Commissioner to accept her account and to
remove her disqualification for six years under the provisions of Rule 111 of the above said Rules.
NOW, THEREFORE, considering the above case in totality and the reasons for not submitting the account of
election expenses within the stipulated time, I, S.K.SHRIVASTAVA, State Election Commissioner of N.C.T of Delhi,
do hereby remove the disqualification of the said Ms. Babli Giri as per the Commission’s order of even number dated
30.07.2013with effect from the date of issue of this order.
This order shall be published in the Official Gazette under Rule 111 of the Delhi Municipal Corporation
(Election of Councillors) Rules, 2012.
