केंद्रीय जिक्षा संस्ट्था (जिक्षकों के काडर में आरक्षण) अजधजनयम, 2019 (2019 का 10), की धारा 2 के साथ परित उसकी
धारा 32 की उपधारा (1) द्वारा प्रदत्त िजक्तयों का प्रयोग करते हुए, श्री जित्रा जतरुनल आयुर्विज्ञान और प्रौद्योजगकी
संस्ट्थान, जत्रिेंद्रम, जिजनयम, 1981 का और संिोधन करने के जलए जनम्नजलजखत जिजनयम बनाता ह,ै अथाचत् :-

2. (1) श्री जित्रा जतरुनल आयुर्विज्ञान और प्रौद्योजगकी संस्ट्थान, जत्रिेंद्रम जिजनयम, 1981 के जिजनयम 28 को उसके
उपजिजनयम (1) के रूप म ें पनु :संखयांदकत दकया िाएगा और इस प्रकार पुन:संखयांदकत उपजिजनयम (1) के पश्चात ्
जनम्नजलजखत जिजनयम अत:स्ट्थाजपत दकया िाएगा, अथाचत ्:-
“(2) जनयुजक्त प्राजधकारी,—
(क) समूह ‘क’ िैक्षजणक पदों को भरते समय केंद्रीय जिक्षा संस्ट्था (जिक्षकों के काडर में आरक्षण) अजधजनयम, 2019
(2019 का 10), में अजधकजथत आरक्षण नीजतयों का यथािश्यक पररितचन सजहत अनुसरण करेगा;
(ख) उन पदों के संबंध में, िो खडं (क) में जनर्ददष्ट से जभन्न ह,ै केंद्रीय सरकार के अधीन पदों को सीधी भती द्वारा भरने म ें
केंद्रीय सरकार द्वारा समय-समय पर अनुसरण की िान े िाली आरक्षण नीजतयों के आधार पर अनुसूजित िाजतयों ,
अनुसूजित िनिाजतयों , सामाजिक और िैक्षजणक रूप से जपछडे िगों के जलए जिद्यमान आरक्षण का अनुसरण
करेगा और आर्वथक रूप स ेकमिोर िगों के जलए भी आरक्षण प्रदान करेगा।“

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 24th December, 2020
No. P&A.I/REGULATION/AMDT/SCTIMST/2020.—Whereas the Central Educational
Institutions (Reservation in Teachers‟ Cadre) Act, 2019 (10 of 2019) provide for reservation in
appointments by direct recruitment for persons belonging to the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes,
the socially and educationally backward classes and the economically weaker sections, to teachers‟ cadre in
certain Central Educational Institutions, as defined in clause (c) of section 2 of the said Act, with effect
from the 7th day of March, 2019;
And whereas the Institute Body and Governing Body of Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical
Sciences and Technology have vide their resolution, dated the 6th July, 2019, stated that the Central
Educational Institutions (Reservation in Teachers‟ Cadre) Act, 2019 (10 of 2019) applies to all the Group
„A‟ academic posts in Central Educational Institutions including institutions of national importance except
those institutions listed in the Schedule to the said Act;
And whereas the Institute Body and Governing Body have also decided to implement the
reservation policy of the Central Government with respect to candidates belonging to economically weaker
sections in direct recruitment to all posts and in Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and
Technology, Trivandrum;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 32 of the
Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum, Act 1980 (52 of 1980)
read with sub-section (2) thereof, the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology,
Trivandrum, with the previous approval of the Central Government, hereby makes the following
regulations further to amend the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology,

1. (1)These regulations may be called the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and
Technology, Trivandrum (Amendment) Regulations, 2020.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. (1) In the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum
Regulations, 1981, Regulation 28, shall be re-numbered as sub-regulation (1) thereof and after
sub-regulation (1) as so renumbered, the following sub-regulation shall be inserted, namely:-
“(2) The Appointing Authority shall, in filling vacancies,-
(a) in Group „A‟ academic posts, mutatis mutandis follow the reservation policies laid down in the
Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Teachers‟ Cadre) Act, 2019 (10 of 2019);
(b) in respect of posts other than those referred to in clause (a), continue to follow the existing
reservation for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes and the socially and educationally
backward classes and also grant reservation for economically weaker sections on the basis of the
reservation policies followed by the Central Government from time to time in filling vacancies
by direct recruitment in posts under the Central Government.”
