ORDER
New Delhi, the 28th September, 2015
S.O. 2640(E).—Whereas the Central Government after considering the recommendations made to it
by the Standing Advisory Committee, had directed by order number S.O. 527(E), dated the 13th February,
2015, that the commodities specified in column (2) of the Schedule to that Order, shall be packed in jute
packaging material, for supply or distribution, in such minimum percentage, as specified in the corresponding
entries in column (3) of the said Schedule, for the year 2014-2015, i.e., upto 30th June, 2015;
And whereas the Central Government extended the validity of the said order vide order number
S.O. 1676(E), dated the 23rd June, 2015, for a period of three months from the date of the expiry of the said
order, that is, upto 30th September, 2015;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Jute
Packaging Materials (Compulsory Use in Packing Commodities) Act, 1987 (10 of 1987), the Central
Government hereby directs that the validity of the aforesaid order, expiring on 30th September, 2015, shall be
extended for a further period of three months i.e. upto 31st December, 2015 from the date of expiry of the said
order or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
