And whereas, copies of the said Gazette notification were made available to the public on the 26th October, 2018. And whereas, no objection and suggestion has been received from the public in respect of the said draft rules. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 65, read with rule 2(q) of the Delhi Motor Vehicles Rules, 1993, the following rules further to amend the Delhi Motor Vehicles Rules, 1993 are hereby made, namely :- Rules Short Title and Commencement 1 (1) These rules may be called the Delhi Motor Vehicles (First Amendment) Rules, 2019. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Delhi Gazette. Amendment in Rule 2 In the Delhi Motor Vehicles Rules, 1993, in Rule 34A, for sub-rule(1), the 34 A (1) following shall be substituted, “In case of non-transport four wheeled vehicle and two wheeled vehicle, the assignment of registration mark as specified in column 1 of the table given below, in any available series of registration marks shall be made available only on payment of additional fee to the highest bidder selected through open auction in respect of category 1, 2, 3 & 4 and on payment of additional fee in respect of category 5 & 6 as per table given below :- Fee for the assignment of Registration mark of choice and Processing charges for retention of existing Registration Mark: Category Registration Marks / Minimum Reserve Price for Category 1, 2 Mode of allotment Numbers 3 & 4 and Additional fee for Category No. 5 & 6 Four wheeled Two Wheeled Vehicles Vehicles (1) (2) (3) (4) 1 0001 Rupees Five Rupees Fifty Lakhs.
