NOTIFICATION
Kolkata, the 31st August, 2015
S.O. 2494(E).—Whereas, the lands, buildings, streets, roads, passages or the right of users or easement therein,
specified in the Schedule, are required for the purpose of construction of Majherhat station of Metro Railway of Joka –
BBD Bag project and other works connected therewith in the metropolitan city of Kolkata;
And whereas, the Central Government is satisfied that such requirement of lands, buildings, streets, roads,
passages or the right of users or easement therein are required for public purpose;
And whereas, the plan bearing drawing number RVNL/KOL/METRO/JOKA-BBD BAG/1/2015/
MAJHERHAT-MOMINPUR of the area specified in the Schedule, is available for inspection in the office of the
Competent Authority at 39/1, Rash Behari Avenue, (1st Floor), Kolkata-700026;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Metro Railways
(Construction of Works) Act, 1978 (33 of 1978), the Central Government hereby declares its intension to acquire the
lands, buildings, streets, roads, passages or the right of user or easement therein, as specified in the Schedule;
Any person interested in the said lands, buildings, streets, roads, passages or the right of users or easement
therein, as mentioned in the Schedule may, within twenty one days from the date of publication of the substance of this
notification, object under sub-section (1) of section 9 of the said Act to such acquisition. The objections, if any, may be
forwarded to the Competent Authority in writing and shall set out the grounds thereof, and the Competent Authority

such objection and after making such enquiry, if any, as the Competent Authority thinks necessary, by order, either
allow or disallow the objections.
