New Delhi, the 14th October, 2016
G.S.R. 999(E).— With reference to notification published in the Gazette of India – Extraordinary, Part-II,
Section-3 and sub-section (i) on Friday, May 2, 2014 and in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article
309 of the Constitution and all other powers enabling him in the behalf, the President hereby makes the following rules
further to amend the Vice-President’s Secretariat (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2014, namely:-
1.(cid:32) Short title and commencement – (i) These rules may be called the Vice-President’s Secretariat (Recruitment
and Conditions of Service) Amendment Rules, 2016.
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Vice-President’s Secretariat (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2014, the following
amendments have been made:-
(i) Schedule-III - The words Scale of pay, Pay Band and Grade Pay or Pay Scale and entries made as Pay Band and
Grade Pay therein under the heading shall be substituted with words ‘Level in the Pay Matrix’ and with corresponding
‘Level’ under the heading ‘Level in the Pay Matrix’:-
