The Seafarers' Welfare Fund Society is withdrawing the Monthly Ex-gratia Monetary Assistance (MEMA) welfare scheme, effective July 1, 2018, due to the cessation of the MEMA welfare fund. Registered MEMA beneficiaries will receive a one-time lumpsum amount. To receive the lumpsum, beneficiaries should contact the SWFS office between July 1, 2018, and August 31, 2018, to collect, fill out, and submit the 'One time Payment Form' to the SWFS office by September 30, 2018. The 'One time Payment Form' will be issued by the SWFS until August 31, 2018, to registered MEMA beneficiaries.
