The YAI Youth Nationals 2026 Sailing Championship is currently underway at Marve Beach,
HBTC, Mumbai. Organised under the aegis of the Yachting Association of India (YAI), the
championship is one of the premier events on India’s sailing calendar, bringing together some of
the country’s most promising young sailors to compete across various youth sailing classes. The
championship commenced on May 4 and will conclude on May 9, 2026.
With favourable wind and sea conditions prevailing throughout the week, multiple races are
being conducted successfully across various classes including Optimist class sailing, Laser class
(ILCA 4 & ILCA 6), IQ Foils, Techno 293 Windsurfing, 420 Mixed class and 29er class.
The participating sailors are demonstrating exceptional racing strategies, boat handling skills
