Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2024/95 18.1.2024 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 101/2021 of 19 March 2021 amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2024/95] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Commission Regulation (EU) 2020/1245 of 2 September 2020 amending and correcting Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) Commission Regulation (EU) 2020/1322 of 23 September 2020 amending Regulation (EC) No 1881/2006 as regards maximum levels of 3-monochloropropanediol (3-MCPD), 3-MCPD fatty acid esters and glycidyl fatty acid esters in certain foods(2)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (3) Commission Regulation (EU) 2020/1419 of 7 October 2020amending Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the use of ascorbic acid (E 300) and citric acid (E 330) on white vegetables intended for further processing(3)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (4) This Decision concerns legislation regarding foodstuffs. Legislation regarding foodstuffs shall not apply to Liechtenstein as long as the application of the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products is extended to Liechtenstein, as specified in the introduction to Chapter XII of Annex II to the EEA Agreement. This Decision is therefore not to apply to Liechtenstein. (5) Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 Chapter XII of Annex II to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows: 1. The following indent is added in point 54zzzz (Commission Regulation (EU) No 1881/2006): ‘- 32020 R 1322: Commission Regulation (EU) 2020/1322 of 23 September 2020(OJ L 310, 24.9.2020, p. 2).’ 2. The following indent is added in point 54zzzzr (Regulation (EU) No 1333/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council): ‘- 32020 R 1419: Commission Regulation (EU) 2020/1419 of 7 October 2020(OJ L 326, 8.10.2020, p. 11).’ 3.
