Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 102/2022 of 29 April 2022 amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement [2022/1546]
**Policy Summary:**
EEA Joint Committee Decision No. 102/2022, dated April 29, 2022, amends Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement. The decision incorporates Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2021/746 of May 6, 2021, which modifies Directives 2003/90/EC and 2003/91/EC regarding the examination protocols for certain agricultural and vegetable plant varieties, and amends Directive 2003/90/EC concerning botanical names of plants. This decision will not apply to Liechtenstein due to the extension of the Agreement between the European Community and Switzerland on trade in agricultural products to Liechtenstein, as specified in the sectoral adaptations to Annex I of the EEA Agreement. The amendment adds indent "32021 L 0746: Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2021/746 of 6 May 2021 (OJ L 160, 7.5.2021, p. 94)" to points 14 (Commission Directive 2003/90/EC) and 15 (Commission Directive 2003/91/EC) in Part 1 of Chapter III of Annex I to the EEA Agreement. The authentic text of Implementing Directive (EU) 2021/746 in Icelandic and Norwegian will be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union. The Decision entered into force on April 30, 2022, following notification under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement. The Decision was published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
