Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2024/130 18.1.2024 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 125/2021 of 19 March 2021 amending Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement [2024/130] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Commission Decision (EU) 2020/1802 of 27 November 2020 amending the user’s guide setting out the steps needed to participate in EMAS, under Regulation (EC) No 1221/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the voluntary participation by organisations in a Community eco-management and audit scheme (EMAS)(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) Annex XX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 The following point is inserted after point 1eaq (Commission Decision (EU) 2020/519) of Annex XX to the EEA Agreement: ‘1ear. 32020 D 1802: Commission Decision (EU) 2020/1802 of 27 November 2020amending the user’s guide setting out the steps needed to participate in EMAS, under Regulation (EC) No 1221/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the voluntary participation by organisations in a Community eco-management and audit scheme (EMAS) (OJ L 402, 1.12.2020, p. 51).’ Article 2 The text of Decision (EU) 2020/1802 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic. Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on 20 March 2021, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made*. Article 4 This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union. Done at Brussels, 19 March 2021.
