L 279/40 EN Official Journal of the European Union 27.10.2022 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 133/2019 of 8 May 2019 amending Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement [2022/2030] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/2079 of 19 December 2018 on the approval of the engine idle coasting function as an innovative technology for reducing CO emissions from passenger cars pursuant to 2 Regulation (EC) No 443/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) Annex XX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 The following point is inserted after point 21aeza (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2017/1402) of Annex XX to the EEA Agreement: ‘21aezb. 32018 D 2079: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/2079 of 19 December 2018on the approval of the engine idle coasting function as an innovative technology for reducing CO emissions from passenger cars 2 pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 443/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council (OJ L 331, 28.12.2018, p. 225).’ Article 2 The text of Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/2079 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic. Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on 1 June 2019, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made*.
