Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2024/145 25.1.2024 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 135/2021 of 23 April 2021 amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2024/145] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/569 of 16 April 2020 establishing a common format and information content for the submission of the information to be reported by Member States pursuant to Directive 2010/63/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes and repealing Commission Implementing Decision 2012/707/EU(1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/569 repeals Commission Implementing Decision 2012/707/EU(2), which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement. (3) Commission Implementing Decision 2014/11/EU(3), which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement, has become obsolete and is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement. (4) Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 The text of point 15zp (Commission Implementing Decision 2012/707/EU) of Chapter XIII of Annex II to the EEA Agreement is replaced by the following: ‘32020 D 0569: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/569 of 16 April 2020establishing a common format and information content for the submission of the information to be reported by Member States pursuant to Directive 2010/63/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes and repealing Commission Implementing Decision 2012/707/EU (OJ L 129, 24.4.2020, p. 16).’ Article 2 The text of Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/569 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
