Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2024/160 25.1.2024 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 156/2021 of 23 April 2021 amending Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement [2024/160] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/1741 of 23 September 2019establishing the format and frequency of data to be made available by the Member States for the purposes of reporting under Regulation (EC) No 166/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the establishment of a European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register and amending Council Directives 91/689/EEC and 96/61/EC(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) Annex XX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 The following is inserted after point 1ha (Commission Decision 2010/205/EU) of Annex XX to the EEA Agreement: ‘1hb. 32019 D 1741: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/1741 of 23 September 2019 establishing the format and frequency of data to be made available by the Member States for the purposes of reporting under Regulation (EC) No 166/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the establishment of a European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register and amending Council Directives 91/689/EEC and 96/61/EC (OJ L 267, 21.10.2019, p. 3). The provisions of the Decision shall, for the purposes of this Agreement, be read with the following adaptation: In Article 1, as regards the EFTA States, the words “reporting year 2019” shall read “reporting year 2020”.’ Article 2 The text of Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/1741 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic. Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on 24 April 2021, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made*. Article 4 This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
