**Summary:** EEA Joint Committee Decision No. 157/2022, adopted on April 29, 2022, amends Annex XIII (Transport) to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA). This decision incorporates Regulation (EU) 2019/1239 of the European Parliament and of the Council of June 20, 2019, which establishes a European Maritime Single Window environment and repeals Directive 2010/65/EU, into the EEA Agreement. Consequently, Directive 2010/65/EU will be repealed under the EEA Agreement with effect from August 15, 2025. Article 1 of the decision outlines the specific amendments to Annex XIII, including the insertion of point 56la regarding Regulation (EU) 2019/1239 and the deletion of point 56l concerning Directive 2010/65/EU, effective August 15, 2025. For EFTA states, Article 11(2) of Regulation (EU) 2019/1239 and the customs reporting obligations specified in point 7 of Part A of the Annex shall not apply. Article 2 confirms the authenticity of the Icelandic and Norwegian language versions of Regulation (EU) 2019/1239, which will be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union. The decision entered into force on April 30, 2022, contingent upon the completion of notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement. The decision was published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
