Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 177/2020 of 11 December 2020 amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement [2023/1979]
**Summary:**
EEA Joint Committee Decision No. 177/2020, adopted on December 11, 2020, amends Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA). The decision incorporates Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/207 of February 14, 2020, which amends Regulation (EU) No 142/2011 regarding imports of pet food from Saudi Arabia, into the EEA Agreement. This amendment is reflected by adding the identifier "32020 R 0207" to point 9c of Commission Regulation (EU) No 142/2011 in Part 7.1 of Chapter I of Annex I to the EEA Agreement. The authentic Icelandic and Norwegian language texts of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/207 will be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union. This Decision does not apply to Liechtenstein due to the extension of the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products to Liechtenstein. The Decision entered into force on December 12, 2020, following the completion of notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement. The Decision will be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
