Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2024/309 8.2.2024 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 199/2021 of 9 July 2021 amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2024/309] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/571 of 20 January 2021 amending the Annex to Regulation (EU) No 609/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the list of substances that may be added to infant and follow-on formula, baby food and processed cereal-based food(1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/572 of 20 January 2021 amending Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/127 as regards the date of application of certain of its provisions(2)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (3) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/705 of 28 April 2021amending Regulation (EC) No 333/2007 as regards the required number of incremental samples and the performance criteria for some methods of analysis(3)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (4) This Decision concerns legislation regarding foodstuffs. Legislation regarding foodstuffs shall not apply to Liechtenstein as long as the application of the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products is extended to Liechtenstein, as specified in the introduction to Chapter XII of Annex II to the EEA Agreement. This Decision is therefore not to apply to Liechtenstein. (5) Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 Chapter XII of Annex II to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows: 1. The following indent is added in point 54zzzp (Commission Regulation (EC) No 333/2007): ‘- 32021 R 0705: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/705 of 28 April 2021 (OJ L 146, 29.4.2021, p. 73).’ 2. The following indent is added in point 77 (Regulation (EU) No 609/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council): ‘- 32021 R 0571: Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/571 of 20 January 2021(OJ L 120, 8.4.2021, p. 1).’ 3. The following indent is added in point 77b (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/127): ‘- 32021 R 0572: Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/572 of 20 January 2021(OJ L 120, 8.4.2021, p. 4).’ (1) OJ L 120, 8.4.2021, p. 1.
