Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2024/1545 27.6.2024 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 20/2024 of 2 February 2024 amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2024/1545] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Commission Delegated Directive (EU) 2023/277 of 5 October 2022 amending Directive 2009/43/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the updating of the list of defence-related products in line with the updated Common Military List of the European Union of 21 February 2022(1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) By virtue of Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 111/2013 of 14 June 2013(2), Delegated Directive (EU) 2023/277 does not apply to Liechtenstein. (3) Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 The following indent is added in point 3q (Directive 2009/43/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council) of Chapter XIX of Annex II to the EEA Agreement: ‘— 32023 L 0277: Commission Delegated Directive (EU) 2023/277 of 5 October 2022(OJ L 42, 10.2.2023, p. 1).’ Article 2 The text of Delegated Directive (EU) 2023/277 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic. Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on 3 February 2024, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made(*). Article 4 This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union. Done at Brussels, 2 February 2024.
