Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2024/313 8.2.2024 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 200/2021 of 9 July 2021 amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2024/313] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/585 of 27 April 2020 concerning a coordinated multiannual control programme of the Union for 2021, 2022 and 2023 to ensure compliance with maximum residue levels of pesticides and to assess the consumer exposure to pesticide residues in and on food of plant and animal origin(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/2041 of 11 December 2020amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/585 as regards the number of samples to be taken and analysed by each Member State in view of the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community(2)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (3) Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/585 repeals Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/533(3)which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement. (4) This Decision concerns legislation regarding foodstuffs. Legislation regarding foodstuffs shall not apply to Liechtenstein as long as the application of the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products is extended to Liechtenstein, as specified in the introduction to Chapter XII of Annex II to the EEA Agreement. This Decision is therefore not to apply to Liechtenstein. (5) Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 The text of point 171 (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/533) of Chapter XII of Annex II to the EEA Agreement is replaced by the following: ‘32020 R 0585: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/585 of 27 April 2020 concerning a coordinated multiannual control programme of the Union for 2021, 2022 and 2023 to ensure compliance with maximum residue levels of pesticides and to assess the consumer exposure to pesticide residues in and on food of plant and animal origin (OJ L 135, 29.4.2020, p. 1), as amended by: — 32020 R 2041: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/2041 of 11 December 2020(OJ L 420, 14.12.2020, p. 6).
