The EEA Joint Committee issued Decision No 217/2025 on 19 September 2025, amending Annex XIII (Transport) to the EEA Agreement. Article 1 adds '32025 R 1144: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1144 of 3 June 2025 (OJ L, 2025/1144, 4.6.2025).' in point 66zab of Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement. The Icelandic and Norwegian language versions of Regulation (EU) 2025/1144 will be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union and shall be authentic. The decision comes into force on 20 September 2025, pending all notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement being made. The decision will be published in the EEA Section and the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union.

DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEENo 217/2025

amending Annex XIII (Transport) to the EEA Agreement[2026/44]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98
thereof,
Whereas:
(1) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1144 of 3 June 2025 amending Regulation (EC) No 474/2006 as
regards the list of air carriers banned from operating or subject to operational restrictions within the Union(1)is to
be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(2) Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
The following indent is added in point 66zab (Commission Regulation (EC) No 474/2006) of Annex XIII to the EEA
Agreement:
‘— 32025 R 1144: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1144 of 3 June 2025 (OJ L, 2025/1144,
4.6.2025).’
Article 2
The text of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1144 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the
EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 20 September 2025, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the
EEA Agreement have been made(*).
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European
Union.
