Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2024/273 8.2.2024 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 225/2021 of 14 July 2021 amending Annex V (Free movement of workers) and Annex VIII (Right of establishment) to the EEA Agreement [2024/273] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1126 of 8 July 2021 establishing the equivalence of COVID-19 certificates issued by Switzerland to the certificates issued in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) Annexes V and VIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 The following point is inserted after point 10a (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1073) of Annex V to the EEA Agreement: ‘10b. 32021 D 1126: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1126 of 8 July 2021establishing the equivalence of COVID-19 certificates issued by Switzerland to the certificates issued in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council (OJ L 243, 9.7.2021, p. 49).’ Article 2 The following point is inserted after point 11a (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1073) of Annex VIII to the EEA Agreement: ‘11b. 32021 D 1126: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1126 of 8 July 2021establishing the equivalence of COVID-19 certificates issued by Switzerland to the certificates issued in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council (OJ L 243, 9.7.2021, p. 49).’ Article 3 The text of Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1126 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic. Article 4 This Decision shall enter into force on 14 July 2021, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made*. Article 5 This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
