Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2026/208 12.2.2026 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEENo 230/2025 of 24 October 2025 amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) and Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement[2026/208] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/3160 of 9 October 2024 amending Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/688 as regards certain animal health requirements for movements within the Union of terrestrial animals(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/65 of 31 October 2024 amending Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2123 as regards the conditions under which a separate Common Health Entry Document is submitted for consignments leaving a border control post for a control point where identity and physical checks are to be performed(2)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (3) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/179 of 31 January 2025 on the collection and transmission of molecular analytical data within the frame of epidemiological investigations of food-borne outbreaks in accordance with Directive 2003/99/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council(3) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (4) This Decision concerns, inter alia, legislation regarding live animals other than fish and aquaculture animals. Legislation concerning these matters shall not apply to Iceland, as specified in paragraph 2 of the Introductory Part of Chapter I of Annex I to the EEA Agreement. (5) This Decision concerns legislation regarding veterinary matters, feedingstuffs and foodstuffs. Legislation regarding veterinary matters, feedingstuffs and foodstuffs shall not apply to Liechtenstein as long as the application of the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products is extended to Liechtenstein, as specified in the sectoral adaptations to Annex I to the EEA Agreement. This Decision is therefore not to apply to Liechtenstein. (6) Annexes I and II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 Annex I to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows: 1. Article 4 This Decision shall enter into force on 25 October 2025, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made(*).
