L 4/80 EN Official Journal of the European Union 5.1.2023 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 244/2019 of 27 September 2019 amending Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement [2023/49] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/582 of 3 April 2019 confirming or amending the provisional calculation of the average specific emissions of CO and specific emissions targets for manufacturers of new light 2 commercial vehicles for the calendar year 2017 and for the Volkswagen pool including its members for the calendar years 2014, 2015 and 2016 pursuant to Regulation (EU) No 510/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/583 of 3 April 2019 confirming or amending the provisional calculation of the average specific emission of CO and specific emissions targets for manufacturers of passenger 2 cars for the calendar year 2017 and for certain manufacturers belonging to the Volkswagen pool for the calendar years 2014, 2015 and 2016 pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 443/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council(2)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (3) Annex XX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 Annex XX to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows: 1. The following point is inserted after point 21aezb (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/2079): ‘21aezc. 32019 D 0583: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/583 of 3 April 2019 confirming or amending the provisional calculation of the average specific emission of CO and specific emissions targets 2 for manufacturers of passenger cars for the calendar year 2017 and for certain manufacturers belonging to the Volkswagen pool for the calendar years 2014, 2015 and 2016 pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 443/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council (OJ L 100, 11.4.2019, p. 47).’ 2. The following point is inserted after point 21ayc (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 427/2014): ‘21ayd. 32019 D 0582: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/582 of 3 April 2019confirming or amending the provisional calculation of the average specific emissions of CO and specific emissions targets for 2 manufacturers of new light commercial vehicles for the calendar year 2017 and for the Volkswagen pool including its members for the calendar years 2014, 2015 and 2016 pursuant to Regulation (EU) No 510/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council (OJ L 100, 11.4.2019, p. 66).’ Article 2 The texts of Implementing Decisions (EU) 2019/582 and (EU) 2019/583 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
