Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2024/1368 13.6.2024 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 299/2023 of 8 December 2023 amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement [2024/1368] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Commission Regulation (EU) 2022/2246 of 15 November 2022amending Annexes VIII and IX to Regulation (EC) No 999/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards chronic wasting disease in live cervids(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/118 of 23 September 2022 amending Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/688 supplementing Regulation (EU) 2016/429 of the European Parliament and of the Council, as regards animal health requirements for movements within the Union of captive birds intended for exhibitions(2)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (3) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/751 of 30 January 2023 amending Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/687 supplementing Regulation (EU) 2016/429 of the European Parliament and the Council as regards rules for the prevention and control of certain listed diseases(3)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (4) This Decision concerns legislation regarding veterinary matters. Legislation regarding veterinary matters shall not apply to Liechtenstein as long as the application of the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products is extended to Liechtenstein, as specified in the sectoral adaptations to Annex I to the EEA Agreement. This Decision is therefore not to apply to Liechtenstein. (5) Annex I to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 Chapter I of Annex I to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows: 1. The following indent is added in point 13e (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/687) in Part 1.1: ‘- 32023 R 0751: Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/751 of 30 January 2023(OJ L 100, 13.4.2023, p. 7).’ 2. The following indent is added in point 13s (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/688) in Part 1.1: ‘- 32023 R 0118: Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/118 of 23 September 2022(OJ L 16, 18.1.2023, p. 1).’ 3. The following indent is added in point 12 (Regulation (EC) No 999/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council) in Part 7.1: ‘- 32022 R 2246: Commission Regulation (EU) 2022/2246 of 15 November 2022(OJ L 295, 16.11.2022, p. 1).’ (1) OJ L 295, 16.11.2022, p. 1.
