Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2024/1383 13.6.2024 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 307/2023 of 8 December 2023 amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) and Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2024/1383] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/1329 of 29 June 2023amending Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the use of polyglycerol polyricinoleate (E 476) and the Annex to Commission Regulation (EU) No 231/2012 as regards specifications for glycerol (E 422), polyglycerol esters of fatty acids (E 475) and polyglycerol polyricinoleate (E 476)(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/1428 of 7 July 2023amending the Annex to Regulation (EU) No 231/2012 as regards mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids (E 471)(2)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (3) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1333 of 29 June 2023 concerning the authorisation of a preparation of endo–1,3(4)-beta-glucanase produced by Aspergillus fijiensis CBS 589.94 as a feed additive for chickens for fattening and weaned piglets (holder of authorisation: DSM Nutritional Products Ltd, represented by DSM Nutritional Products Sp. z o.o.), amending Regulation (EC) No 1811/2005 and repealing Regulation (EC) No 1259/2004(3)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (4) Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1333 repeals Commission Regulation (EC) No 1259/2004(4), which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement. (5) This Decision concerns legislation regarding feedingstuffs and foodstuffs. Legislation regarding feedingstuffs and foodstuffs shall not apply to Liechtenstein as long as the application of the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products is extended to Liechtenstein, as specified in the sectoral adaptations to Annex I and the introduction to Chapter XII of Annex II to the EEA Agreement. This Decision is therefore not to apply to Liechtenstein. (6) Annexes I and II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 Chapter II of Annex I to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows: 1. Article 4 This Decision shall enter into force on 9 December 2023, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made(*).
