Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 319/2022 of 9 December 2022 amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2023/1261]
This decision of the EEA Joint Committee No. 319/2022, dated 9 December 2022, amends Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement. The amendment incorporates Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/1517 of 9 September 2022, which itself amends Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/450. The focus of the incorporated decision pertains to the publication of references of European Assessment Documents for specific construction products, namely insulation made of loose-fill or compound granulated expanded cork or loose-fill granulated natural cork and rubber, as well as other construction products. The authentic Icelandic and Norwegian language texts of Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/1517 will be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union. The decision came into force on 10 December 2022, contingent upon the completion of all notifications required under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement. The decision was published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.

DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 319/2022

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98
thereof,
Whereas:
(1) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/1517 of 9 September 2022 amending Implementing Decision
(EU) 2019/450 as regards the publication of references of European Assessment Documents for insulation made of
loose-fill or compound granulated expanded cork or loose-fill granulated natural cork and rubber and other
construction products(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(2) Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
The following indent is added in point 1zzp (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/450) of Chapter XXI of Annex
II to the EEA Agreement:
‘- 32022 D 1517: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/1517 of 9 September 2022 (OJ L 235, 12.9.2022,
p. 65).’
Article 2
The text of Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/1517 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA
Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 10 December 2022, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the
EEA Agreement have been made*.
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European
Union.
