18.7.2019 EN Official Journal of the European Union L 192/43 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 32/2019 of 29 March 2019 amending Annex VI (Social security) to the EEA Agreement [2019/1220] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Regulation (EU) 2019/500 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 March 2019 establishing contingency measures in the field of social security coordination following the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the Union (1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) Annex VI to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 The following point is inserted after point 1 (Regulation (EC) No 883/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council) of Annex VI to the EEA Agreement: ‘1a. 32019 R 0500: Regulation (EU) 2019/500 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 March 2019 establishing contingency measures in the field of social security coordination following the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the Union (OJ L 85I, 27.3.2019, p. 35).’ Article 2 The text of Regulation (EU) 2019/500 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic. Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on 29 March 2019, or on the day following the last notification under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement (*), whichever is the later.
