amending Annex IX (Financial services) to the EEA Agreement [2023/1270]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98
thereof,
Whereas:
(1) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1210 of 13 July 2022 laying down implementing technical
standards for the application of Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council with
regard to the format of insider lists and their updates(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(2) Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1210 repeals Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/347(2), which
is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement.
(3) Annex IX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
The text of point 29ae (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/347) of Annex IX to the EEA Agreement shall be
replaced by the following:
‘32022 R 1210: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1210 of 13 July 2022 laying down implementing
technical standards for the application of Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 of the European Parliament and
of the Council with regard to the format of insider lists and their updates (OJ L 187, 14.7.2022, p. 23).’
Article 2
The text of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1210 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the
EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 10 December 2022, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the
EEA Agreement have been made*, or on the day of the entry into force of Decision of the EEA Joint Committee
No 215/2021 of 9 July 2021(3), whichever is the later.
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European
Union.
