THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98
thereof,
Whereas:
(1) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/256 of 16 December 2019 supplementing Regulation
(EU) 2019/1700 of the European Parliament and of the Council by establishing a multiannual rolling planning(1)is
to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(2) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/257 of 16 December 2019 supplementing Regulation
(EU) 2019/1700 of the European Parliament and of the Council by specifying the number and the title of the
variables for the labour force domain(2)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(3) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/258 of 16 December 2019 supplementing Regulation
(EU) 2019/1700 of the European Parliament and of the Council by specifying the number and the titles of the
variables for the income and living conditions domain(3)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(4) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/1432 of 14 July 2020supplementing Regulation (EU) 2019/1700 of
the European Parliament and of the Council by specifying the number and titles of the variables for the use of

technologies domain for reference year 2021 pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2019/1700 of the European Parliament
and of the Council(11)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(12) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1642 of 5 November 2020specifying the technical items of the
data set for the 2022 ad hoc subject ‘job skills’ and the eight-yearly variables on ‘pension and labour market
participation’ in the labour force domain in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2019/1700 of the European
Parliament and of the Council(12)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(13) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1721 of 17 November 2020 specifying technical items of data
sets of the sample survey in the income and living conditions domain on health and quality of life pursuant to
Regulation (EU) 2019/1700 of the European Parliament and of the Council(13)is to be incorporated into the EEA
Agreement.
(14) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/2052 of 24 November 2021 specifying technical items of data
sets of the sample survey in the income and living conditions domain on Labour market and housing,
Intergenerational transmission of advantages and disadvantages, Housing difficulties, and the 2023 ad hoc subject
on Households energy efficiency pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2019/1700 of the European Parliament and of the
Council(14)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(15) Annex XXI to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
The following is inserted after point 18q (Regulation (EU) 2019/1700 of the European Parliament and of the Council) of
Annex XXI to the EEA Agreement:

technical characteristics as regards items common to several datasets pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2019/1700 of

Article 2

(EU) 2020/1013, (EU) 2020/1642, (EU) 2020/1721 and (EU) 2021/2052 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be
published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 10 December 2022, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the
EEA Agreement have been made*.
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European
Union.
