Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 51/2026 of 6 February 2026 amending Annex XIII (Transport) and Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement [2026/934]

Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2026/934 21.5.2026 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEENo 51/2026 of 6 February 2026 amending Annex XIII (Transport) and Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement [2026/934] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Decision (EU) 2024/1254 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 April 2024 amending Directives 2009/12/EC, 2009/33/EC and (EU) 2022/1999 of the European Parliament and of the Council and Council Directive 96/67/EC as regards certain reporting requirements in the fields of road transport and aviation(1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) Annexes XIII and XX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 The following is added in points 17d (Directive (EU) 2022/1999 of the European Parliament and of the Council), 64c (Council Directive 96/67/EC) and 65a (Directive 2009/12/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council) of Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement: ‘, as amended by: — 32024 D 1254: Decision (EU) 2024/1254 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 April 2024 (OJ L, 2024/1254, 30.4.2024).’ Article 2 The following indent is added in point 21av (Directive 2009/33/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council) of Annex XX to the EEA Agreement: ‘— 32024 D 1254: Decision (EU) 2024/1254 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 April 2024 (OJ L, 2024/1254, 30.4.2024).’ Article 3 The text of Decision (EU) 2024/1254 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic. Article 4 This Decision shall enter into force on 7 February 2026, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made(*).
