Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 61/2026 of 20 March 2026 amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement [2026/1254]

Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2026/1254 25.6.2026 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEENo 61/2026 of 20 March 2026 amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement [2026/1254] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2176 of 29 October 2025 concerning the renewal of the authorisation of the preparations of Pediococcus acidilactici NCIMB 30005, Lacticaseibacillus paracasei NCIMB 30151 and Lactiplantibacillus plantarum DSM 16627 as feed additives for all animal species and repealing Implementing Regulation (EU) No 849/2014(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2176 repeals Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 849/2014(2), which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement. (3) This Decision concerns legislation regarding feedingstuffs. Legislation regarding feedingstuffs shall not apply to Liechtenstein as long as the application of the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products is extended to Liechtenstein, as specified in the sectoral adaptations to Annex I to the EEA Agreement. This Decision is therefore not to apply to Liechtenstein. (4) Annex I to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 Chapter II of Annex I to the EEA Agreement is amended as follows: 1. The following point is inserted after point 686 (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2186): ‘687. 32025 R 2176: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2176 of 29 October 2025 concerning the renewal of the authorisation of the preparations of Pediococcus acidilacticiNCIMB 30005, Lacticaseibacillus paracaseiNCIMB 30151 and Lactiplantibacillus plantarumDSM 16627 as feed additives for all animal species and repealing Implementing Regulation (EU) No 849/2014 (OJ L, 2025/2176, 30.10.2025).’ 2. The text of point 111 (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 849/2014) is deleted. Article 2 The text of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2176 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
