Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 73/2020 of 12 June 2020 amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) and Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2023/522]
**Policy Summary: EEA Joint Committee Decision No. 73/2020**
This decision, adopted by the EEA Joint Committee on June 12, 2020, amends Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) and Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement. Specifically, the decision adds Regulation (EU) 2017/1495 to point 52 in Part 6.2 of Chapter I of Annex I, and to point 54zzzj of Chapter XII of Annex II of the EEA Agreement. This decision does not apply to Liechtenstein due to the extension of the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products to Liechtenstein. The authentic text of Regulation (EU) 2017/1495 in Icelandic and Norwegian will be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union. The decision entered into force on June 13, 2020, following the completion of notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement. The decision was published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
