22.9.2022 EN Official Journal of the European Union L 246/7 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 92/2022 of 29 April 2022 amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement [2022/1536] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Commission Regulation (EU) 2021/1372 of 17 August 2021amending Annex IV to Regulation (EC) No 999/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the prohibition to feed non-ruminant farmed animals, other than fur animals, with protein derived from animals(1), as corrected by OJ L 398, 11.11.2021, p. 51, is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) Commission Regulation (EU) 2021/1973 of 12 November 2021 correcting the German language version of Regulation (EU) No 142/2011 implementing Regulation (EC) No 1069/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down health rules as regards animal by-products and derived products not intended for human consumption and implementing Council Directive 97/78/EC as regards certain samples and items exempt from veterinary checks at the border under that Directive(2)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (3) This Decision concerns legislation regarding veterinary matters. Legislation regarding veterinary matters shall not apply to Liechtenstein as long as the application of the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products is extended to Liechtenstein, as specified in the sectoral adaptations to Annex I to the EEA Agreement. This Decision is therefore not to apply to Liechtenstein. (4) Annex I to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 Part 7.1 of Chapter I of Annex I to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows: 1. The following indent is added in point 9c (Commission Regulation (EU) No 142/2011): ‘- 32021 R 1973: Commission Regulation (EU) 2021/1973 of 12 November 2021(OJ L 402, 15.11.2021, p. 4).’ 2. The following indent is added in point 12 (Regulation (EC) No 999/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council): ‘- 32021 R 1372: Commission Regulation (EU) 2021/1372 of 17 August 2021 (OJ L 295, 18.8.2021, p. 1), as corrected by OJ L 398, 11.11.2021, p. 51.’ Article 2 The texts of Regulations (EU) 2021/1372, as corrected by OJ L 398, 11.11.2021, p. 51, and (EU) 2021/1973 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
