Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 93/2022 of 29 April 2022 amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement [2022/1537]
**Policy Summary: EEA Joint Committee Decision No. 93/2022**
This decision, adopted by the EEA Joint Committee on April 29, 2022, amends Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA). The amendment incorporates two Commission Regulations into the EEA Agreement:
1. **Commission Regulation (EU) 2021/1891** of October 26, 2021, which amends Annexes XIV and XV to Regulation (EU) No 142/2011 regarding imports into and transit through the Union of animal by-products and derived products (OJ L 384, 29.10.2021, p. 84).
2. **Commission Regulation (EU) 2021/1925** of November 5, 2021, which amends certain Annexes to Regulation (EU) No 142/2011 regarding requirements for placing certain insect products on the market and adapting a containment method (OJ L 393, 8.11.2021, p. 4).
This Decision does not apply to Liechtenstein, conditional upon the extension of the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products to Liechtenstein, as outlined in the sectoral adaptations to Annex I of the EEA Agreement.
The authentic texts of Regulations (EU) 2021/1891 and (EU) 2021/1925 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages will be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union.
This Decision entered into force on April 30, 2022, following the completion of all notifications required under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement. The Decision will be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
The President of the EEA Joint Committee at the time of adoption was Nicolas VON LINGEN.
