L 137/82 EN Official Journal of the European Union 16.5.2022 DECISIONS POLITICAL AND SECURITY COMMITTEE DECISION (CFSP) 2022/744 of 10 May 2022 extending the mandate of the Head of Mission of the European Union Advisory Mission for Civilian Security Sector Reform Ukraine (EUAM Ukraine) (EUAM UKRAINE/1/2022) THE POLITICAL AND SECURITY COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 38, third paragraph, thereof, Having regard to Council Decision 2014/486/CFSP of 22 July 2014on the European Union Advisory Mission for Civilian Security Sector Reform Ukraine (EUAM Ukraine)(1), and in particular Article 7(1) thereof, Having regard to the proposal from the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Whereas: (1) Pursuant to Decision 2014/486/CFSP, the Political and Security Committee (PSC) is authorised, in accordance with Article 38 of the Treaty, to take the relevant decisions for the purpose of exercising the political control and strategic direction of the European Union Advisory Mission for Civilian Security Sector Reform Ukraine (EUAM Ukraine), including the decision to appoint a Head of Mission. (2) On 4 June 2019, the PSC adopted Decision (CFSP) 2019/992(2), appointing Mr Antti HARTIKAINEN as Head of Mission for the period from 1 July 2019until 30 June 2020. (3) On 8 June 2020, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2020/754(3), extending the mandate of Mr Antti HARTIKAINEN as the Head of Mission until 31 May 2021.
