In exercise of the powers conferred by the Section 3 read with section 9, 349 351 and 355(B) of the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964, the ‘Grama Panchayat Area’ of Nyamathi proposed to be declared as Transitional area of Nyamathi, Davanagere District mentioned in the Schedule “A” along with boundaries mentioned in Schedule “B” is hereby proposed to be declared as the “Transitional Area” of Nyamathi and “Town Panchayat Area” of Nyamathi, Davanagere District with effect from the date of publishing this Notification in the Official Gazette by His Excellency, the Governor of Karnataka having regard to: i. The population of such area is not less than ten thousand and not more than Twenty thousand; 9288 ii. The density of population in such area is not less than four hundred inhabitants to one square kilometer of area; 1435 iii. The percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities is not less than fifty per cent of the total employment; 60%. The notification is hereby published for the information of the Public. All the persons, who would like to file any objections/suggestions to this Notification, are hereby required to submit the same with reasons in writing to the Director, Directorate of Municipal Administration, 9th Floor, V.V.Tower, Bengaluru within 30 days from publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette.
