NOTIFICATION Whereas the Notification to extend the boundary of Town Panchayat Area of Beelagi of Bagalkot District by including some adjacent Survey Numbered areas as mentioned in Schedule-A along with boundaries mentioned in Schedule-B was published as required by section-3 read with section-4, 9, 349 and 355 of the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964, vide Government Notification No:UDD 231 MLR 2021, dated 12/05/2025 by providing thirty days time and was published in part-III, No.273, Karnataka Gazette Extraordinary, dated 12/05/2025 inviting objections from all persons likely to be affected thereby on or before thirty days from the date of publication of the above Notification. And whereas the Notification was made available to the public on the day of publication; And whereas no objection/suggestion has been received within the stipulated period; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section-3, 4, 9, 349 and 355 of the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964, the Hon’ble Governor, hereby extend the boundary of Town Panchayat Area of Beelagi, Bagalkot District by including the adjacent Survey Numbered Areas as mentioned in Schedule–A, along with boundaries mentioned in Schedule–B, as the “Transitional Area” and further specifying such area to be the “Town Panchayat Area of Beelagi” having regards to: 1. The population of such area is not less than ten thousand and not more than twenty thousand; 2. The density of population in such area is not less than four hundred inhabitants to one square kilometer of area;5 3. The percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities is not less than fifty per cent of the total employment.
