The Sports Authority of India (SAI), Regional Centre Mumbai, in association with MY Bharat,
under the Fit India Movement, successfully conducted the 69th Edition of ‘Sundays on Cycle’ at
Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, promoting fitness and an active lifestyle among youth and citizens.
The event, focused on State Youth Leaders, witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 400
youth, students, and MY Bharat volunteers, who came together to spread the message of fitness
and healthy living through community cycling. The rally covered approximately a 5 km route
across Kharghar, passing through Vinayak Seth Chowk, Kharghar Football Stadium, and Sector
27, effectively spreading awareness about fitness among the local community.Shri Prashant Thakur, MLA Panvel, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and flagged off the
cycling rally from B.D. Somani International School. Addressing the participants, he said, “It is
truly inspiring to witness such enthusiastic participation from our youth. Initiatives like Sundays
on Cycle not only promote fitness but also build awareness about leading a healthy lifestyle.
Youth-led movements like this are essential for shaping a stronger and healthier nation.”
