NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by the Section-3 read with section-4, 9, 349, 351 and 355 of the Karnataka Municipalities Act 1964, His Excellency, the Governor of Karnataka hereby propose to declare the Grama Panchayat of Talakadu (Grama Panchayat comprising of Talakadu of Vadeyandarahalli villages) including T.Bettahalli and Kurubalanahundi villages of B.Shettyhalli Grama Panchayat of T.Narasipura Taluk of Mysore District mentioned in Schedule-A along with the boundaries mentioned in Schedule-B as the “Transitional Area of Talakadu” and further to specify as the “Town Panchayat of Talakadu” and to constitute the ‘Town Panchayat’ to the said Transitional Area with effect from the date of publishing this Notification in the Official Gazette having regards to: i. The population of such area is not less than ten thousand and not more than Twenty thousand; ii. The density of population in such area is not less than four hundred inhabitants to one square kilometer of area;4 iii. The percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities is not less than fifty per cent of the total employment. The notification is hereby published for the information of the Public. All the persons, who would like to file any objection/suggestion to this Notification are hereby required to submit the same with reasons in writing to the Director, Directorate of Municipal Administration, 9th Floor, V.V.Tower, Bengaluru within 30 days from publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette.
