RESOLUTION
New Delhi, the 11th May, 2026
F. No. A-50013/354/2024-E-III.— In continuation of the erstwhile Ministry of Irrigation and Power's
Resolution No. FC-47(2)/72, dated the 18th April, 1972 constituting the Ganga Flood Control Board (hereinafter
referred to as the said resolution), the Central Government hereby makes the further amendments in the said resolution,
namely: -
2. In the said resolution,
(i) in paragraph 2, against serial number 20, for the words "Chairman, Ganga Flood Control Commission", the words
"Chairman, Ganga Flood Control Commission cum Member (Floods)" shall be substituted;
(ii) after paragraph 2, the following paragraph shall be inserted, namely:
"2.1 The Ganga Flood Control Board shall meet at such intervals as may be necessary for the effective discharge
and execution of its mandatory functions:
provided that the Board shall meet at least once in every calendar year.".

ORDERED that a copy of the Resolution be communicated to the State Governments of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh,
Uttarakhand, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh
and to the Union Ministries of Finance, Railways, Agriculture, Road Transport and Highways, Niti Aayog, Prime
Minister's Office, Secretary to the President of India and Comptroller and Auditor General of India for information.
ORDERED also that the Resolution be published in the Gazette on India and State Governments of Bihar,
Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Rajasthan and
Himachal Pradesh be requested to publish it in the State Gazette for general information.
