And whereas the Notification was made available to the public on the day of publication; And whereas no objection/suggestion has been received within the stipulated period; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3, 4, 9 and 357 of the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964, the Hon’ble Governor, hereby extend the boundary of Town Municipal Council Area of Indi, Vijaypur District by including the adjacent Survey Numbered Areas as mentioned in Schedule–A, along with boundaries mentioned in Schedule–B, as the “Smaller Urban Area” and further specifying such area to be the “Town Municipal Council Area of Indi” having regards to: i. The population of such area is not less than Twenty thousand and not more than Fifty thousand; 39,184 ii. The density of population in such area is not less than One thousand five hundred inhabitants to one square kilometer of area; 1,595 iii. The revenue generated for local administration from such area from tax and non-tax sources in the year of the last preceding census is not less than rupees Nine lakhs per annum or a sum calculated at the rate of rupees Forty five per capita per annum, whichever is higher; Rs. 18,000/- per person iv.
