Ministry of Culture Central Government Organisations across Goa Join ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign with Patriotic Activities प्रव तथ: 14 AUG 2026 4:26PM by PIB Mumbai Goa, August 14, 2026 Central Government organisations and establishments across Goa have joined the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign with enthusiasm as part of the celebrations for the 80th Independence Day and the commemoration of 150 years of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’. Various patriotic activities, competitions, cultural programmes and initiatives centred around the Tricolour are being organised to promote patriotism, national unity and pride in the National Flag. The National Institute of Water Sports–Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (NIWS–IITTM), Goa, is organising various activities under the campaign. These include the singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ and the National Anthem, Rangoli Making, Reel Making and Nukkad Natak based on themes of patriotism and national unity. Students, faculty and staff are also participating enthusiastically in the ‘Selfie with Tiranga’ initiative. The Mormugao Port Authority organised an Elocution Competition on August 11 as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and the commemoration of 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’. Officials participated in the competition and shared their views on the significance of the national song, citizens’ duties and the importance of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. Doordarshan Goa is also participating in the campaign by broadcasting special programmes from August 9 to 15.
