अहकव या पात्रता सेवा, अपेजक्षत अहकव या पात्रता सेवा 3. महाजनिेिक, से आधे से अजधक से या िो वषव से, इनम ें से िो भी भारतीय पुरातत् व कम हो, कम न हो और उन्होन े अपने ऐसे कजनस्ट्थ सवेक्षण – सिस्ट्य; और व्यजियों सजहत, जिन्होंने ऐसी अहकव या पात्रता सेवा 4. अपर महाजनिेिक पहले ही पूरी कर ली ह,ै अगली उच्चतर श्रेणी में (पुरातत् व), भारतीय प्रोन्नजत के जलए अपनी पट्ररवीक्षा अवजध सफलतापूववक पूरी कर ली ह।ै पुरातत् व सवेक्षण– प्रजतजनयजुि (जिसम ें अल्पकाजलक सजंविा भी है) सिस्ट्य I केंद्रीय सरकार या राज्य सरकारों या संघ राज्य क्षत्रे प्रिासन या स्ट्वायत्त या सांजवजधक संगठन या सावविजनक क्षत्रे के उपक्म या मान्यता प्राप्त जवश्वजवद्यालय / संस्ट्थान या अनुसधं ान संस्ट्था के ऐसे अजधकारी : (क) (i) िो मूल संवग व / जवभाग में जनयजमत आधार पर सििृ पि धारण दकए हुए ह;ैं या (ii) जिन्होंन े मूल संवग व या जवभाग में वेतन स्ट्तर 12 (78800-209200 रु.) में या समतुल्य में जनयजमत आधार पर जनयुजि के पश्चात उस श्रेणी में पांच वषव की जनयजमत सेवा पूरी की हो; और (ख) जिनके पास जनम्नजलजखत िैजक्षक अहतव ाएं और अनुभव हो, अथावत : (i) दकसी मान य् ताप्राप त् जवश्वजवद्यालय/संस्ट्थान स े भारतीय इजतहास में मास ट् र जडग्री जिसमें प्राचीन भारतीय इजतहास या मध्ययुगीन भारतीय इजतहास एक जवषय के रूप में हो अथवा पुरात्तव जवज्ञान या मानव जवज्ञान में मास्ट्टर जडग्री जिसमें पाषाण युगीन पुरातत्त्व जवज्ञान एक जवषय के रूप में हो अथवा भ-ू जवज्ञान म ें मास्ट्टर जडग्री जिसमें प्रजतनूतन भ-ूजवज्ञान एक जवषय के रूप में हो अथवा दकसी मान्यताप्राप्त जवश्वजवद्यालय या संस्ट्थान से संस्ट्कृत या पाली या अरबी या प्राकृत या तजमल या तेलुगु या मल्यालम या कन्नड या इजतहास या कला म ें मास्ट्टर जडग्री जिसमें प्राचीन या मध्ययुगीन भारतीय इजतहास एक जवषय के रूप में हो। (ii) केंद्रीय सरकार या राज्य सरकार या संघ राज्यक्षेत्र या स्ट्वायत्त या सांजवजधक संगठन या पजललक सेक्टर उपक्म या मान्यताप्राप्त जवश्वजवद्यालय या अनुसंधान संस्ट्थान के अधीन पुरातत व् जवज्ञान में सात वषव का अनुभव; (iii) (ख) (i) में यथावर्णवत उपयुवि जवषयों में से दकसी एक में पीएचडी तथा प्रकाजित अनसु ंधान कायव ट्रटप्पण : यदि दकसी अभ्यथी के पास मास्ट्टर जडग्री एव ं पीएचडी के अलावा पुरातत्व जवज्ञान में जडप्लोमा ह,ै तो पांच वष व का अनभु व आवश्यक ह।ै ट्रटप्पण 1 : पोषण प्रवगव के ऐसे जवभागीय अजधकारी िो प्रोन्नजत की सीधी पंजि म ें ह ैं प्रजतजनयुजि/आमेलन पर जनयुजि के जलए जवचार दकए िान े के पात्र नहीं होंगे। इसी प्रकार प्रजतजनयुि व्यजि प्रोन्नजत द्वारा जनयुजि के जलए जवचार दकए िाने के पात्र नहीं होंगे।4 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)] ट्रटप्पण 2 : प्रजतजनयुजि (जिसमें अल्पकाजलक संजविा भी ह)ै की अवजध, जिसके अंतगवत केंद्रीय सरकार के उसी या दकसी अन्य संगठन या जवभाग में इस जनयुजि से ठीक पहले धाट्ररत अन्य काडर बाह्य पि पर प्रजतजनयुजि (जिसमें अल्पाजलक संजविा भी ह)ै की अवजध साधारणतया पांच वषव से अजधक नहीं होगी। ट्रटप्पण 3 : प्रजतजनयुजि (जिसमें अल्पकाजलक संजविा भी ह)ै द्वारा जनयुजि के जलए अजधकतम आय-ु सीमा आवेिन प्राप्त करने की अंजतम तारीख को छप्पन वषव से अजधक नहीं होगी। [फा. सं. िे-11012/6/2022-योिना] गुरमीत ससंह चावला, अपर महाजनििे क (प्रिासन) MINISTRY OF CULTURE (Archaeological Survey of India) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 30th August 2023 G.S.R. 641(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution and in supersession of the Ministry of Culture, Archaeological Survey of India, Joint Director General (Archaeology) Recruitment Rules, 2015, except as respect things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the President hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of recruitment to the post of Joint Director General (Archaeology) in the Archaeological Survey of India, Ministry of Culture, namely:— 1. Short title and Commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Culture, Archaeological Survey of India, Joint Director General (Archaeology) Recruitment Rules, 2023. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Number of posts, classification and level in the pay matrix.—The number of the post, its classification and level in the pay matrix attached therto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these rules. 3. Method of recruitment, age-limit, qualification etc.- The method of recruitment to the post, age-limit, qualification and other matters relating thereto shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the aforesaid Schedule. 4. Disqualification.—No person,— (a) who, has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or (b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be eligible for appointment to the said post: Provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for doing so, exempt any person from the operation to this rule. 5. Power to relax.—Where the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order, and for reasons to be recorded in writing and in consultation with Union Public Service Commission, relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons. 6. Saving.—Nothing in these rules shall affect reservations, relaxation of age-limit and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Schedule Tribes, Other Backward Classes, ex- Servicemen and other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time in this regard. Deputation (Including short term contract): Officers of the Central Government or State Government or Union territory Administration or Autonomous or Statutory organisation or Public Sector Undertaking or recognised University or Institute or Research Institution: (A)(i) holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre/department; or (ii) with five years regular service in grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the pay level-12 (Rs. 78800-209200) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and (B) possessing the following educational qualifications and experience, namely:- (i) Masters degree in Indian History with Ancient Indian History or Medieval Indian History as a subject or Master degree in Archaeology or Anthropology with Stone Age Archaeology or Anthropology as a subject or Masters degree in Geology with Pleistocene Geology as a subject from a recongnised University / Insititute or Masters degree6 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)] in Sanskrit or Pali or Arabic or Prakrit or Tamil or Telugu or Malyalum or Kanada or History or Art with Ancient or Medieval Indian History as a subject from recongnised University or Institute; (ii) seven years experience in Archaeology under the Central Government or State Government or Union territory or Autonomous or Statutory organisation or Public Sector Undertaking or recongnised University or Institute of Research institutions; (iii) PhD. in any of the above subjects as mentioned in (b)(i) and should have published research work. Note: If a candidate possesses Diploma in Archaeology in addition of Masters Degree and PhD. then five years experience is necessary. Note 1: The departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion will not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation / absorption. Similarly, deputationists shall not be eligible for consideration of appointment by promotion. Note 2: Period of deputation (including short term contract) including period of deputation (including short term contract) in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation or department of the Central Government shall not exceed five years. Note 3: The maximum age-limit for appointment by deputation (including short term contract) shall not be exceeding fifty-six years as on the closing date of receipt of applications. [F.
