RESOLUTION
New Delhi, the 30th June, 2025
F. No. U-23013/31/2014-L.W(B).––In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Contract Labour
(Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970, the Central Advisory Contract Labour Board hereby constitutes a Committee to
consider the Grant of exemption in the iron and Coal handling plants of Paradip Port Trust, Paradip Port, Odisha under
Section 31 of the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970, against Notification S.O.No. 640(E) dated
04.07.2001 in respect of prohibit the employment of Contract Labour in the work given the schedule to the said
Notification.
2. The composition of the Committee and its terms of reference will be as under:-

3. The terms of reference of the proposed Committee would be as follows: -
“To study the status of pending writ petition, visit the Paradip Port Trust and consult with all the
stakeholders, and see the working condition of contractor labour in Paradip Port Trust, against Notification
S.O. No.640(E) dated 04.07.2001 prohibiting of employment of Contract Labour in the works given in the
schedule (a) Muck Cleaning and (b) Spillage removal to the said Notification.”
4. The Headquarters of the Committee will be at Bhubaneshwar. The Committee shall submit its report within
two months.
