SUBJECT: REQUIREMENTS FOR DATA LINK AND ADS-C OPERATIONS
1. INTRODUCTION:
Indian operators must obtain DGCA approval for flight operations in airspace
requiring the use of Data Link / ADS-C prior to conducting flight operations in
Oceanic and Remote Airspace.
2. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
No person shall operate Indian registered aircraft using Data Link / ADS-C for
flight operations unless:
2.1 The operator and the operator's aircraft comply with the requirements of this CAR,
applicable DGCA guidance, and applicable circulars;
2.2 The operator obtains Data Link / ADS-C approval from the DGCA; and
2.3 The operator’s operations specifications authorize the use of Data Link / ADS-C for
flight operations.
3. AIRWORTHINESS AND OPERATIONAL APPROVAL
Airworthiness and operational approval of Datalink/ADS-C will be in accordance with
Operations Circular 16 of 2014.
