Ministry of Labour & Employment EPFO launches Employees’ Enrolment Campaign (EEC) 2026 a Special one-time opportunity for employers to enrol eligible employees left out of EPF coverage प्रव तथ: 17 AUG 2026 4:32PM by PIB Mumbai Pune, 17 August 2026 The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has launched the Employees’ Enrolment Campaign (EEC), 2026, providing a special one-time opportunity to employers to voluntarily enrol eligible employees who remained outside EPF coverage during the period from 1 April 2009 to 31 March 2026. The campaign has come into effect from 1 July 2026 and will remain operational up to 31 October 2026. The initiative is aimed at facilitating employers in regularising past enrolment gaps and extending statutory social security benefits to eligible employees. Under the Employees’ Enrolment Campaign, eligible employees can be enrolled through the EPFO Employer Portal by submitting the prescribed online declaration. The enrolment process includes Face Authentication-based UAN generation and ECR-linked TRRN filing, thereby providing a simplified and digital mechanism for compliance. A significant facilitation provided under the campaign relates to the employee’s share of EPF contribution. Where the employee’s share of EPF contribution was not deducted from the wages, such employee contribution shall be waived under the campaign. In such cases, the employer is required to remit the employer’s share of contribution, along with the applicable interest and administrative charges, and a lump-sum damage of ₹100.
