As of December 11, 2025, the Ministry of Tourism reports the following data for the calendar year 2024: Foreign Tourist Arrivals (FTAs) totaled 99.52 lakh and Domestic Tourist Visits (DTVs) reached 29481.91 lakh. Foreign Exchange Earnings (FEEs) from tourism in India amounted to Rs. 2,93,033 crore (Revised Estimates).
For the first two quarters of 2024, FTAs were: Q1 (January to March) at 26.15 lakh, Q2 (April to June) at 16.48 lakh, for a total of 42.63 lakh.
The top five source countries for FTAs in 2024 were: United States of America (18,04,586), Bangladesh (17,50,165), United Kingdom (10,22,587), Australia (5,18,205), and Canada (4,76,273).
From November 1, 2024, to November 30, 2025, 31.74 lakh e-visas were issued to tourists.

As conveyed by the Bureau of Immigration, a total of 31.74 lakh e-visas were issued to tourists during the
period from 01.11.2024 to 30.11.2025.
