NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by the Section-3, 4, 500, 501 and 503
of the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976, the existing ‘City Municipal
Area of Bidar’ of Bidar District proposed to be declared as “Larger Urban Area”
including the villages mentioned in the Schedule “A” along with boundaries
mentioned in the Schedule “B” is hereby proposed to be declared as the “Larger
Urban Area of Bidar” and further “The Corporation of the City of Bidar” with
effect from the date of publishing this Notification in the Official Gazette by His
Excellency, the Governor of Karnataka for the purpose of administration having
regard to:
i. The population of such area is not less than three lakhs;
ii. The density of population in such area is not less than three
thousand inhabitants to one square kilometer of area;
iii. The revenue generated for local administration from such area from tax
and non-tax sources in the year of the last preceding census is not less
than rupees six crores per annum or a sum calculated at the rate of
rupees two hundred per capita per annum, whichever is higher;
iv. The percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities is not
less than fifty per cent of the total employment.
The notification is hereby published for the information of the Public. All
the persons, who would like to file any objection/suggestion to this Notification5
are hereby required to submit the same with reasons in writing to the Director,
Directorate of Municipal Administration, 9th Floor, V.V.Tower, Bengaluru
within 30 days from publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette.
Further, Notification will be taken up for final consideration after the mentioned
period of 30 days.

East: Starting from survey number 86 of Odawala village, it goes towards south and
passes through survey numbers 87, 93, 96, 97, 98, 99 and reaches Tajalapur village via
survey numbers 27, 30, 31, 32, 34, 39, 40. Then it starts from Bage Ibrahim survey
number 12 of the current municipal city limit and passes through survey number 81,
82, 83 and 86 and ends at Haladakeri (K) survey numbers 95. Then it starts from survey

West: Starting from survey number 16 of Chondi village, it goes towards south through
survey numbers 15, 14, 84, 83, 81, 80, 79 and ends at survey number 78. Then it starts
from survey number 122 of Kolar(K) village and passes through survey numbers 123,
88, 86, 42, 41, 37, 36, 380, 379, 377, 374, 375, 373 at the boundary of Kolar(K) village.
Then it starts from survey number 37 of Nizampur village and ends at 36, 35, 34, 33.
North: It starts from survey number 17 of Chondi village and goes towards east and
passes through survey numbers 18, 33, 34, 37, 38, 39. Then starting from survey
number 15 of Chauli village and goes towards north passes through survey numbers
15, 16, 17 and then goes towards south passes through survey numbers 20, 21, 22, 23,
24, 32 and 33 upto the boundary of Chowli village and from there starting from survey
number 4 of Aliabad village and goes towards east passes through survey numbers 5,
14, 15, 21, 25, 26, 33, 34, 37, 38 and ends survey number 39. Then it starts from survey
number 48 of Village Chickpet passes through survey number 49, 50, 51, 4, 5, 6, 7 and
10 goes towards south passes through survey number 8 and ends survey number 14.
Then it starts from Mamanakeri Survey No. 10 and goes towards east Survey No. 9, 6
and 5 and from there it goes towards south passes through Survey No. 4 and ends at
survey number 3. Then it starts from Allamakeri Survey No. 8 and goes towards east
passes through Survey No. 9, 13, 12 and ends at survey number 11. Then it starts from
Dattanakeri Survey No. 3 and goes towards east and ends at Survey No. 2. Then it starts
from Sippalagera Survey No. 2 and goes towards east and ends at Survey No. 3. It
continues from Kabirwada survey number 21 and passes through survey numbers 22,
23 and ends at survey number 24. Then its start from survey number 4 of Shamrajpur
village passes through survey number 78 of Odwala village ends at survey number 85.
South: Starting from Survey No. 32 of Nizampur village, it goes towards east passes
through Survey No. 31, 30, 28, 25, 24, 23, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 14 and from Chidri
Survey No. 277 of the present Bidar Municipality Limits towards south survey number
276, then starting from Survey No. 275 it goes towards east to Survey No. 274, 269,
268, 267 and then its goes towards south passes through Survey No. 240, 228, 227 and
from there it goes towards east passes through Survey No. 226, 225, 224 and ends at
survey number 211. Then from it starts from Mailura Survey No. 76 and goes towards
south passes through Survey No. 72, 71, 69 and ends at survey number 68. Further it
starts from Survey No. 71 of Amlapur village goes towards east through survey number
59, 58 and ends at survey number 57. From there it goes North passes through Survey
No. 55, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65 and ends at survey number 66. Then it goes towards east
passes through survey number 34, 35, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 48, 49, 50 and ends at
survey number 54. From there it goes towards south passes through survey number 21
of Gullar Haveli and ends survey number 22. Then it goes towards east starts from
