NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by the Section-3, 4, 500, 501 and 503 of the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976, the existing ‘City Municipal Area of Bidar’ of Bidar District proposed to be declared as “Larger Urban Area” including the villages mentioned in the Schedule “A” along with boundaries mentioned in the Schedule “B” is hereby proposed to be declared as the “Larger Urban Area of Bidar” and further “The Corporation of the City of Bidar” with effect from the date of publishing this Notification in the Official Gazette by His Excellency, the Governor of Karnataka for the purpose of administration having regard to: i. The population of such area is not less than three lakhs; ii. The density of population in such area is not less than three thousand inhabitants to one square kilometer of area; iii. The revenue generated for local administration from such area from tax and non-tax sources in the year of the last preceding census is not less than rupees six crores per annum or a sum calculated at the rate of rupees two hundred per capita per annum, whichever is higher; iv. The percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities is not less than fifty per cent of the total employment. The notification is hereby published for the information of the Public. All the persons, who would like to file any objection/suggestion to this Notification5 are hereby required to submit the same with reasons in writing to the Director, Directorate of Municipal Administration, 9th Floor, V.V.Tower, Bengaluru within 30 days from publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette.
